Gastrointestinal Stromal GIST
Initial Workup
- CT chest, abdomen and pelvis; or MRI of abdomen and pelvis if CT contrast is contrainidcated
- PET after tissue diagnosis is made
Restaging after Chemo or Radiation treatment
- PET/CT to assess effectiveness of treatment
Surveillance
- CT of Abdomen and Pelvis if clinically indicated
- PET reserved for indeterminate CT or MRI results
