Gastrointestinal Stromal GIST

Initial Workup

• CT chest, abdomen and pelvis; or MRI of abdomen and pelvis if CT contrast is contrainidcated
• PET after tissue diagnosis is made

Restaging after Chemo or Radiation treatment

• PET/CT to assess effectiveness of treatment

Surveillance

• CT of Abdomen and Pelvis if clinically indicated
• PET reserved for indeterminate CT or MRI results
