Hypopharynx Cancers

Initial Work Up

• CT of chest
• CT (with contrast) or MRI (with contrast) of affected area and Neck
• PET for stage III or IV disease

Post chemo- and/or radiation therapy, evaluation before surgery

• PET, or MRI or CT if PET is not feasible

Follow Up

• Post treatment baseline repeat of CT or MRI of affected area and neck
• Chest CT only if indicated by clinical condition or CXR
• Further follow up imaging if clinically indicated, no routine recommendation
