Initial Workup

  • In all cases Pelvic CT or MRI (preferred)

Metastatic workup (Bone scan)+

  • Gleason score is greater than 7
  • serum PSA is greater than 20 ng/mL
  • stage is greater than T2, or
  • when symptoms suggest metastasis

Post Radical Prostatectomy or Radiation Therapy Recurrence

PSA detectable or rising

  • Bone scan and MRI of Abdomen and Pelvis
